Living and working in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

James’ work is inspired by contrast of life stage experience.

A practical upbringing in the open, simplified and slower paced life of rural Lincolnshire.

Maturing to learn how to run and navigate the confusion and opportunity of busy professional life in London + New York through stripping back the unnecessary.

Vibrant hues, assertive marks, familiar but abstracted scenes. build nuanced compositions where tensions between order and spontaneity find balance in  imagination's unpredictability, attempting to push boundaries of convention into original spaces.

His art serves as a contemplative pause in the hustle of city life, a celebration of the unpredictable journey inherent in the creative process and reality of life - a testament to embracing uncertainty and moving on.
